Core Values

Founded on movement, mentorship, and belief in youth
Staid Dry was created from a simple realization — the youth are navigating life without the support, structure, and experiences needed to build real confidence in themselves.
We saw how easy it is for youth to feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure of who they are becoming — especially when they haven't been given the tools to work through challenges in a healthy way. In those moments, it becomes easier to shut down, give up, or turn to things that don't actually help.
We wanted to create something different.
A space where youth are not just told what to do, but are guided through experiences that challenge them to grow — mentally, physically, and emotionally.
A space where they can build discipline, develop clarity, and start to see what they're truly capable of.
What started as a passion for movement and mentorship has grown into an organization focused on helping young people build confidence, trust themselves, and move through life with purpose. They begin to see that they are capable of more — and start to move differently because of it.
The Staid Dry Foundation exists to supportand guide youth on their journey of prevention, healing, and self-discovery —by creating access to programs, holistic wellnessexperiences, and intentional environmentsthat build clarity, discipline, and connection.
Through movement, mentorship, and community, we help young people develop the mindset, confidence, and direction needed to move through life with purpose — without relying on substances.
Five principles that shape every program, every interaction, and every space we create for youth.
Physical activity as a vehicle for mental, emotional, and spiritual growth — where endurance builds character.
Helping youth develop focus, direction, and the ability to see themselves clearly.
Building connection, belonging, and accountability together.
Opening doors to new experiences, perspectives, and possibilities.
Building the consistency and commitment to follow through on what matters.

We work with middle and high school youth who are navigating real-life challenges and need more than words — they need structure, guidance, and experiences that show them what they're capable of.
Adolescence is a pivotal window where the right support can shape the trajectory of everything that follows.
Our programs are designed to meet young people exactly where they are — and move them forward.

Youth leave knowing they are capable of more — having proved it to themselves through every mile they ran and every challenge they pushed through.
The consistency required by the program becomes a foundation for the rest of their lives — in sleep, nutrition, and daily routines.
They start to carry themselves differently — speaking up, showing up, and trusting the version of themselves they're becoming.
From race days to community events, youth experience environments and possibilities they may never have encountered — expanding what they believe is available to them.

Gentria Lenoir is a co-founder of Staid Dry and has dedicated her career to the growth, development, and well-being of young people. With a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Cal State Northridge and 15+ years in behavioral health and youth development, she brings a depth of understanding that is both academic and deeply personal.
Gentria has been an athlete her entire life — basketball shaped the way she moves through the world. She also played flag football and today she is a runner, bringing full circle the role that movement has always played in her life. Running became the vehicle she wanted to bring to youth because of how much it demands and how much it gives back.
Every young person has the capacity to thrive when they are given the right support, structure, and opportunities.

Jerome Miller is a co-founder of Staid Dry and brings 19 years in behavioral health and substance abuse prevention to this work. Over the course of his career, he has worked on the front lines of youth wellness — developing a deep understanding of the challenges young people face and what it truly takes to help them move in a different direction.
A former track and field athlete, Jerome has always had a deep passion for fitness and understands the powerful role movement plays in mental and emotional well-being. Where others see a running program, he sees a therapeutic tool — one that builds discipline, releases stress, and gives youth a healthy outlet that directly supports the substance prevention work he has dedicated his career to.
Every young person deserves access to the kind of guidance, structure, and support that can change the trajectory of their life.
